The Ace Instruments Carbon Dioxide (CO2) transmitter is designed to integrate with HVAC systems via 4-20 mA, 0-10 VDC or RS485 Modbus communication.   2. Display: Optional LCD display available, selected at time of ordering. Transmitters with 4-20 mA/0-10 VDC can be opted without display.
  3. Modbus Communication: Optional RS485 Modbus, designed to be integrated with BMS/SCADA systems.
  4. Analog Outputs: 4-20 mA/0-10 VDC (field selectable) available for connection with for interface with PLC/BMS/EMS or other control systems.
  5. Buzzer Alarm: The instrument features a built-in buzzer alarm to alert occupants in case of high CO2 levels, allowing for corrective action to be taken on time.
  6. Relay Output: Users can opt for a CO/NO/NC type relay output (optional) to trigger exhaust systems or ventilation systems when CO2 levels surpass the desired threshold.

While outdoor CO2 levels average around 420–450 ppm, indoor concentrations rise when people occupy enclosed spaces without enough fresh air. For CO2 alone, the effects of high CO2 can be experienced as soon as 1,500-2,000 ppm. Previous ASHRAE standards have recommended not more than a 700 ppm difference compared to outside air. Standards like WELL reward CO2 below 900 ppm.
